The Philippines marks a major milestone in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) development with the release of the first issue of the World Chinese Medicine Journal – Philippine Edition (WCMJ-PH). This inaugural publication brings internationally recognized TCM scholarship into a Philippine context, offering a platform for local clinicians, researchers, and educators to contribute to the global TCM community.
Published in collaboration with the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) and local academic partners, the Philippine edition features original research, clinical case reports, classical text studies, and policy insights relevant to integrative health efforts in the country. Contributions from respected international experts further strengthen the journal’s academic rigor and global relevance.

For the first time, the Philippines now joins the international network of contributors and readers of World Chinese Medicine Journal, one of the leading publications dedicated to modern TCM research, clinical practice, classical scholarship, and global development. The Philippine edition aims to provide a platform where local voices—clinicians, researchers, academics, and policy leaders—can engage in rigorous dialogue alongside respected scholars across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
“The launch of WCMJ-PH affirms the growing role of Chinese medicine in the Philippine healthcare landscape,” the editorial team noted. “It provides a credible, peer-reviewed resource for practitioners and students while highlighting Filipino scholarship on the world stage.”
The first issue includes articles on the evolution of TCM education in the Philippines, case series on common clinical conditions, commentary from global TCM leaders, and practical discussions on herbal and integrative practice.
The World Chinese Medicine Journal – Philippine Edition will be published twice yearly. Print and digital copies of the inaugural issue are now available through partner institutions, with online access to follow.
